Aditi obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India. For her doctoral dissertation on weak hydrogen-bonding interactions in molecular complexes she won the Best Thesis Award (2015). Her research expertise is in femtosecond, time-resolved dynamics of small organic molecules, photocatalytic reactions, and phase transitions in deep eutectic solvents. She has held a Marie Curie Fellowship (success rate 10%), was finalist for a Panofsky Fellowship (success rate 1%), and shared nominations for USERN Prize (2020) and Falling Walls (2020) in Physical Sciences. Alongside research, her passions are in developing education and mentoring programs for students in inclusive and equitable workspaces.

When not in the midst of scientists and science, Aditi can be found engaging with practitioners of social work and mental health. She is an advocate for equal opportunities, and seeks to reflect actively and check biases about assumed (gender) roles. Aditi enjoys reading, writing, traveling, photographing inanimate objects / non Homo sapiens, and tongue-in-cheek humor.

Her top three molecules are imidazole, acetylacetone, and (substituted) benzene.

Her top three moving targets in science training are perseverance, empathy, and resilience.
